The sky began to fill with cracks of bright, yet ebony light. Falling, falling.... more particles seem to flow out from these gaps than before, collecting in large numbers and consuming the world around them. The threat continues to grow. Those brave enough to have fought the spirits before were consumed by darkness, sent to a world that can no longer be reached. The precipice world is no longer accessible via a Senkaimon Gate, or Garganta, or whatever other method to travel from realm to realm. The danai is now home to a complex distortion, mass of the dangai walls forming into spirits as they disperse again and quickly disappear. The outside worlds are in turmoil; large towers began to erect from different areas across the three realms, attacking people, souls and hollows nearby. These towering structures seem to be be composed of the same material of the spirits and possess nearly the same abilities.
A new wave of spirits may come, perhaps stronger than the first wave... the source of these creatures... they must be destroyed.
Those in the dangai world... there is something within, something omnipresent and at the same time, off in the distance. Not to worry, due to what has happened, time has begun travelling at equal pace to that of the outside world... so no training! Locate the source!
So I will take this burden on and become the holy one
She'd been called to the Seireitei for a meeting with a few of the seated officers in her division, only to be told upon arrival that they had another mission for her, one that took priority over the meeting. Then the meeting was promptly rescheduled and the girl sent out with a few well wishers. Kaori just sighed and shunpo'd towards the position she was told to report to. They hadn't even given her any debriefing, only told her where to go and deal with it, whatever it was.
When she arrived, Kaori looked up at the monstrosity that towered stories above her. The tower attacked the souls that resided in a nearby town, but Kaori didn't jump in to their aide. She had no idea what it was she was facing, and the Substitue Shinigami was not keen on going in blind. She'd wait for back up. Was she even getting any? The debriefing hadn't mentioned any.
For now, she'd wait and see who else would arrive; at least one other was bound to. Of all the three realms, the Soul Society was the one that was the best guarded, and with these towers in its back yard, they would send others to help contain whatever situation arrived, even one as seemingly unexpected as this.

Gaen was, in general, never considered for missions of any particular importance. It made sense of course, and the young medic never really considered it an insult or slight against him. He was a relatively fresh Shinigami on the scene, little to no real combat experience, lack-lustre rietsu and he didn’t even have shikai. So when the giant tower of crazy popped up in a nearby area, it should come as no surprise that Gaen wasn’t even considered to be a first responder. However, it would seem that fate has little regard for ones’ experience and skill set.
It just so happens that Gaen was out doing a common pass-time for him, giving first aid and medical treatment to those wandering the back alleys and streets. He considered it valuable training and since it helped out people who otherwise didn’t have access to health care, all the better.
Then a giant tower of crazy popped up.
The damage to the area was extensive, buildings crumbling and people thrown by this strange happening. People were strewn about in the streets, the rich and the poor, it didn’t seem to matter to the gargantuan structure. It was all that Gaen could do not to be buried in rubble himself, dashing between pieces of debris, doing his best to deflect what he could from hitting the civilian souls. These people just had their homes indiscriminately destroyed by a skyscraper, taking a piece of lumber to the side of the head was the last thing they needed. By the time that everything had settled and the tower had stopped… growing? Gaen could count nearly twenty injured just around where he stood! He didn’t even know how many people were buried in the rubble, how many were just flat out killed when this thing erupted from the ground. He wanted to feel angry, he wanted to be able to feel sad and mourn, but he had too much work to do and he knew it, however frustrating it was. He darted around the area, picking up and hauling along everybody he could find with a pulse. He was lining them up roughly 200m away from the base of the strange structure, trying to collect everybody he could before whatever this thing was did something worse than it already had. He was starting to pick up the people on the side of the building facing the Seireitei proper when he felt something, a rietsu he didn’t recognize specifically, but he could feel Shinigami energy. He felt a sigh of relief leave his chest, knowing at least a little backup was forthcoming made him rest a little easier. He picked up who he could and moved them to the rest before jumping up to where the lady Shinigami was standing and watching.
Gaen, Fourth division, unseated. He said, trying to catch his breath (he wasn’t a particularly strong guy, and hauling bodies all over the place wasn’t particularly easy). I was here when the… thing popped up –huff- I’ve been trying to get the civilians to safety. He said, composing himself a little as he looked up at the tower for the first time. Do you know what this thing is at all ma’am? Gaen asked, assuming as he generally did that this woman was of a higher rank than he was. He was also hoping that she’d have some answers, tell him that this was some twelfth division do-hickey that got off its’ leash, or a surprise construction project, or even just a really energetic tree. He was really, just really hoping that it didn’t pose a real eminent danger, or have to be ‘fought’ in the traditional sense, he really didn’t like doing that.
The one thing that ran through his mind was wondering if Karina was okay, and where she was at the moment. Seeing both Komamura and another Shinigami with a Bankai disappear like that after the fight shook Kiyu to the core. As he stepped back, he began to feel the ground quake, as the tower began to rise taking several stories in height. Immediately, he witnessed more spirits spawning from the base, attacking nearby innocents. Before Kiyu could even process a thought, he felt the presence of another Substitute Shinigami. One from the project that Mayuri facilitated. Kiyu stood up from his position, looking about, people fleeing from the epicenter of the disaster. It didn't seem that many wanted to fight this thing, but he gripped one of his zanpakuto at his left side. With a quick shunpo he would appear close to Kaori, and the Fourth Squad who introduced himself as Gaen.
I saw those creatures fight Komamura Sajin, and another Shinigami... both of them are gone... I Cannot even feel their presence here in this realm. This thing appeared the moment that the creature that Komamura-taicho was fighting... even unleashing his bankai, it didn't seem to work in his favor. The name's Kiyu Matsura; former Kidocho of the Kido Corps.
He looked over to Kaori and Gaen while he introduced himself. There was something amiss in all this, something that Kiyu could not pin-point. Perhaps it was to be discovered later, but for the mean time, he hoped his partners in this fight are ready to do what is necessary to fight off this new threat... even with his new zanpakuto, Kiyu wasn't sure if shikai alone would be enough to handle something of this magnitude. The silver lining would definitely be that he would not be alone in this fight. The blonde shinigami flattened his palm against the handle of Utsuro's blade, Honjin patiently awaiting to be released as well; this would be a major fight in their lives as well as Kiyu's.
I do apologize, however, I did overhear that you were from Yonbantai, Gaen-san? You're healing skills will definitely come in handy in this fight, I don't know what destruction will lie ahead, but I am confident in our combined efforts.
Kiyu turned back over to the tower, knowing that this will not be easy.

It really was one hell of a time right now, one moment Jumala was talking to his Captain... The next the entire Soul Society seemed to be in complete lock down. He was ordered to go investigate and though his preliminary search hadn't garnered any success, it seemed that Sui-Feng had. He was informed of another disturbance and ordered to go both investigate, and aid any Shinigami in the area. So it came as no surprise that by the time he showed up he had already seen three Shinigami gathered together, What WAS a surprise however... Was that Kaori was there. Damn, it seemed becoming a Shinigami gave him a LOT of chances to find her again... Though this time wasn't exactly sunshine and rainbows.
"KAORI!"
He cried out, Shunpoing in close before jumping over a few buildings to get to their location. He looked around and saw two others, hearing ones explanation it seemed he had gotten here just in time. As he moved up to stand next to Kaori he stared upwards at the daunting monolithic structure before them.
"Holy hell... That thing is HUUUUUGE! How are we going to get close?"
He asked, looking around it. It seemed it had other plans itself, as he could spot creatures surrounding it though he wasn't sure if they were friend or foe as some seemed soul-ish and others didn't but it was a fair distance away.
"I assume that thing is what ya'll are here for right?"
He asked, pointing to the tower.
"Any idea on how to approach it? I don't think we'll be able to just bull rush our way up to it... Something tells me that this thing isn't going to just welcome us with open arms..."
He said, already grasping the hilt of his Zanpakuto.
"However, Kaori, If you wanna give it a shot I'm up for it"
He said, a grin on his face as he waited for the others opinions on how they were going to proceed.

Kaori looked down at the new arrival, nodding her head forward in greeting towards the male. "Kaori Mejiro, sixth division representative." The female replied to Gaen's introduction. "The civilians cannot be our greatest concern right now, Gaen-san. They'll have to fend for themselves until we defeat this monstrosity." Though what exactly this monstrosity was, Kaori didn't know. She was about to reply to Gaen's last question, but the reiatsu of another Shinigami gave her pause, and instead of answering, Kaori turned to face the new arrival, who just appeared at their side. And though Kaori was looking forward to some kind of explanation about what was going on here, Kiyu's left room for more questions instead of answering the ones she already had.
The female nodded in agreement with Kiyu's assessment. She could tell of the three of them, Gaen was the weakest. She doubted he'd be much help during the actual fight, but if he took on a supportive role to keep the fighters at an advantage, it could be just what they'd need to take this battle. "I agree with Matsura-san," she spoke, turning to face the male. But before she could say any more, a voice was shouting her name, and Kaori's attention was diverted to the new source.
Kaori turned when Jumala arrived, and she offered her friend a slight smile. The female ignored his outburst, deciding that such a statement did not need an answer; if they knew how to approach it, they would have done it already. "Yes, Hiekka-san, that towering monstrosity is what we are here for." It was easy for her to fall back into her old respectful speech patterns when around company. She only addressed Jumala in a less formal way when they were without company. "We were deciding the best way to approach it when you arrived." At his last comment, Kaori glared at him. Instead of giving him an answer however, the female turned her attention to the other two males. "This is Jumala Hiekka, second division representative." Kaori turned to face Kiya. "You said you were a former member of the Kidou Corps?" She questioned, though didn't pause to give him a chance to answer. "I think until we have a better understanding of what exactly it is we're up against, we should stick with ranged attacks." It went without saying she meant his Kidou.
Remember I am human and I'm bound to sing this song
Gaen was a more than happy with the fairly consistent and quick arrival of reinforcements, many hands make light work and all that. That, and the group's assessment of Gaen's skill set (and respectively lower power) was pretty accurate; if things came to blows, Gaen didn't want to be fighting on the front lines. Which opened up to the explanation from the kido corps member basically obliterating any hope that this issue could be solved diplomatically. Just once, maybe, Gaen could stumble across a problem that could be fixed up with witty repartee instead of a brawl. His disappointment was only eclipsed by his surprise at the woman, Kaori, stating that the civilians would be taking a back seat to chopping this... thing down a peg or two. For a man like Gaen, that was a hard pill to swallow. Civilians were the first five things on his 'must protect at all costs' list, and to basically ignore them was grinding every gear in his head. Unfortunately for the one armed medic, there wasn't a whole lot he could do about it. This woman was clearly the 'in charge' sort of person, and Gaen most certainly was not, he had a hard time standing up to people his own rank for goodness sake. Then there was the fact that, despite the very odd rules and whatnot, he was technically in a military, and standing orders usually went along the lines of giving support to combat divisions when needed. So, at least for the time being, he was going to sit tight and do as the boss lady said.
He turned his attention to the other two, one said he was formerly with the kido corps so that could mean darn near anything as a specialty. Kido was a very versatile tool, so this fella could have been a one man artillery squad, a master of binding, or somewhere in between. Still, that put him at range either way, so he could likely get the party started from where they were standing. The other one was... energetic. He said he was a representative for the second division, which could mean he was good at being stealthy as far as Gaen understood the special forces division. He seemed more than eager to go in head first however, so maybe he was more of the front line fighter type? Gaen didn't know, but it was all he could gather from the brief conversation so far.
I'll hang back and support where I can then. He said, deferring to the group for direction otherwise, this was his first real inter-squad operation beyond being a dedicated medic for a single soldier. But if I may, I suggest we get started on whatever we're going to do. He said, pointing down toward the base of the tower where a number of these creatures had started coming towards them. It looked like they had finally taken notice of the four shinigami clumped together, and Gaen didn't feel particularly great about being noticed right this second after hearing that a captain had gone toe to toe with ONE of these things and come to a draw.
Majiro-san, Hiekka-san, Gaen-san; don't rush in, our greatest asset is that we are skilled in the shinigami arts. We should utilize our abilities as best as we can, defend the soul society, defend the seireitei... defend what you believe in. If you all fight for what is truly important, you will win; we will win.
Kiyu's eyes slowly diverted up to the tower, pulling Utsuro from his sheathe, Utsuro was the longer of the two blades. Honjin's red fabric was plainly visible, while Kiyu gripped Utsuro's handle wrapped in black. The only thought Kiyu had in his mind was what would happen from here. He could easily assess that their combined power would be incredible against a normal foe, but this... creature, it was difficult enough to even tell what this thing was. The powers it used, was completely unfamiliar. Kiyu waited for everyone to get into position. He wanted everyone to be prepared for anything, to utilize their specialties... Kiyu was prepared to throw out his Kido, equally skilled in Hado and Bakudo... and with an array of spells, he was more than capable of helping out the others at any time.
If you all are ready, I am anxious to start.
Kiyu smiled, almost as if he weren't even taking this seriously. He brushed his hair back, showing an expression of pure determination, one so strong that his reiatsu began to resonate the feeling. His level of confidence for this makeshift team, despite only just meeting them, was hopefully contagious.
Jumala gave Kaori a grin at her words, listening to what she said as she introduced him and then turned his attention to the other two. He gave them both a quick, respectful bow, before turning back to the tower.
"Heh, Trust me when I say there ain't no problem when it comes to this thing." Jumala said, seeming extremely confident in his wording.
"Y'know Kaori... I was hoping to show you this in a spar but..." He paused, chuckling to himself as he stepped forward, slowly pulling his Zanpakuto from it's sheath.
"Alrighty, It's time to do your thing!" Jumala cried, taking a deep sigh before looking up. His entire demeanor had suddenly changed on a dime, bringing his blade to point downwards "DECLARE THE ORDER MY QUEEN! SUNA NO KISAKI!" His cry did not go unanswered, his entire body was enveloped in sand as it erupted upwards around him. Only to be cut down as Jumala now stood with a large staff-like weapon with two floating half-circle looking objects above the staff itself.
He did a fancy twirl of the staff before aiming it at the tower "NOW SHOW THEM YOUR JUDGEMENT!" He cried out, sand erupting upwards and surging upwards to completely entomb the tower itself. "GO NOW! WHILE I'VE GOT IT TRAPPED!" He cried out, surging forth when and if Kaori did.
{Spoiler}{Techniques in play}Name: The Empress' Will Class: Release Tier: II Type: Passive Range: 25 Meters Description:The Empress' Will automatically turns any solid object who's base components are Earthen into sand within 25 Meters, This Sand is used as a fuel source for the rest of Jumala's Shikai Abilities.
Name: The Empress' Judgement Class: Release Tier: IV Type: Offensive Range: 100 Meters in all directions from the ground Description: The Empress' Judgement calls forth all sand within 100 meters in all directions of Jumala, entombing the target in an extremely thick layer of sand and trapping them there with no way to escape once it entombs the target except teleportation. This lasts for 6 rounds and drains all air from the victim in order to rapidly suffocate the target and cause them to breathe in the sand. Because of this, if the target is entombed by this technique if they cannot escape within the 6 rounds the death of anyone caught within this technique at this point is almost assured.
As the tower began to form its headpiece, it suddenly found itself surrounded by layers and layers of sand... The tower's done nothing to these, shinigami! How dare they attack an innocent creature?! Come on! The Shinigami did not even let the tower fully form and initiate an attack against the group; all it took was one... one moment as the sand around the tower would begin to bulge out tremendously as the tower spawned countless spirits from around its body. The limited space would then erupt in a bath of dangai creatures, all particularly unhappy with this preemptive strike.
With the technique that was already used, the spirits would coat their own arms and legs with the sand that was dispersing all over, quickly plummeting toward the group, aiming to engage in close quarters combat. The fight had already begun, there was no need to take this at a distance, the tower would need to keep the shinigami occupied with the spirits attacking them in close proximity. The shear numbers should allow the time needed to get the Tower ready, as it continued to spawn numbers great enough to keep the shinigami busy for a good while.
The headpiece finally formed, letting out a vicious roar, emitting that large beam of light once again into the sky. The Dangai towers were all finally ready to commence with the Central Hivemind's plan.
Each structure has a central brain in which it commands the soldiers around it, they are connected to the main Hivemind within the Dangai World, however, they can act individually to allow the central Hivemind to focus within its own territory. With that being said, the soldiers these towers control are a much weaker variety, but still much stronger than the average human and soul.
Memory Bank
As the name implies, the towers hold a memory of every single encounter it has previously had, as well as stores new information. Each tower holds a percentage of the Central Hiveminds power and memory.
So I will take this burden on and become the holy one
Kaori nodded her assent to both Gaen and Kiyu bot expressed an interest to start the engagement first, before this tower had time to finish whatever its, most likely deviant, purpose was. She drew her Zanpakutou from its sheath at her hip, holding the weapon in front of her, preparing for battle.
Jumala however, was already charging forward, his words sounding too cocky for Kaori's comfort. She narrowed her eyes when he spoke, before they widened in shock as he charged forward. Hadn't he been listening to the plan they had been devising!? "Jumala don't be a fool!" She shouted towards his retreating back, but the male didn't seem to hear her. Or more likely she thought bitterly, was he was ignoring her. Her childhood friend aimed an attack straight at the tower with his Shikai (she'd have to marvel at its glamour later), watching with growing dread as the tower responded, rather violently.
Creatures, the likes of which she'd never seen before started pouring from its base, each of them coming towards the group. "Matsura-san, can you try to focus your attacks on the tower while Hiekka-san and I handle the creatures?" She paused waiting for his answer, but regardless, she'd eventually shunpo towards Jumala to help him with the threat he brought forth. "Kooru tenchi, Byakko." Her Zanpakutou's dark gray bladed edge took on a more frosted look as ice encased its edge, making the blade freezing to the touch. "Now look what you started, Jumala," the female scolded, "Try to hold them off while Matsura-san attacks the tower. If that fails, I'll clear a path and you attack it." He seemed anxious to do it anyways.
Kaori sliced at two of the creatures before pointing her weapon towards the middle of the throng. "Tsurara." A huge towering ice sculpture formed where the female had pointed, towering 100 meters high into the air. She shunpoed away from Jumala's side, moving in a zigzag pattern to hopefully slow a few of the creature's advances. Reaching her pillar, she touched the tip of Byakko to its base, and the tower collapsed on itself, frozen shards of ice flying in all directions. The ones that hit her and Jumala would have no effect against the two of them, but the creatures that were hoarding them would feel its bitter cold sting. During the collapse, Kaori returned to Jumala's side, ready to fight whatever came at them.
Remember I am human and I'm bound to sing this song
{Spoiler}Name: Tsurara (氷柱, Ice Pillar) Class: Shikai Technique Tier: IV Type: Offensive Range: 25 meters Description: Once formed, a tall, round pillar with a 5 meter diameter sculpted of ice towers into the sky, a total height of 100 meters. This can be used to capture an opponent inside its frozen center, potentially freezing the opponent completely, unless they escape, or it can be used as a large attack as well. When formed, the user can touch the tip of his/her blade to the base of the pillar. The ice becomes very brittle and collapses on itself, sending ice shards spiraling in every direction. The shards do damage at tier II, and move at the speed of a bala. The user is immune to the falling shards.
Name: Zoukyou Gyakushuu (増強逆襲, Augmented Counterattack) Class: Weapon Skill Tier: I, I-III Type: Passive, Offensive Range: Varies Description: For every ability performed by the user governed by the weapon skill mastery, that attack is performed twice, so long as the attack is below a tier IV. This includes any weapon skill techniques, along with sword swings. The user typically performs the second strike the opposite way the original strike was performed as.
Name: Ikishiroshi (息白, Frosty Breath) Class: Body Modification Tier: I, II Type: Supplementary Range: 5 meters Description: Created by Mayuri Kurotsuchi, Ikishiroshi is an enhancement of the respiratory system. It allows Kaori to breathe a breath of snow from her mouth. The air feels exactly like a blizzard hitting you, and can cause temporary stinging, especially in the eyes and if inhaled through the nose. A side effect of this ability is Kaori is always breathing out cold air, and her esophagus feels like it's constantly breathing in cold air.
Name: Ashibaya (足早, Light Footed) Class: Body Modification Tier: I Type: Passive enhancement Range: Self Description: A modification granted to her by scientist Mayuri Kurotsuchi, Ashibaya is an enhancement of the legs. This modification enhances the maximum capacity of the bones, muscles, and tendons in Kaori's legs, permanently doubling her natural speed, and strengthening them to handle this enhancement.
Name: Utsusu (映, Reflect) Class: Stepping Variant Tier: I Type: Passive Range: 5 meter radius Description: A passive ability that activates upon every step the user takes. This ability sends shards of ice shooting up around the user's foot, and catching the light from the sun, and reflecting it outwards. The shards fade away after a complete posting round.
Name: Musubu (結, Bind) Class: Stepping Variant Tier: I Type: Passive Range: Varies Description: Yet another addition to Kouri Tejun, Musubu is an ability that is not under the control of its user. This technique automatically starts whenever Kouri Tejun is used to move the user from one place to the other. A thin, transparent line connects each step to one another, its path that of its user. This technique is a binding ability, but because of its low tier rank, is meant more for annoyance for the enemy than to actually trap them. Though transparent in normal circumstances, when the sun's light is caught on the thin strand, it reflects the light, making the strand visible if the opponents are paying enough attention.
Name: Shunpo (瞬歩, Flash Steps) Class: Stepping Tier: I Type: Stepping Range: N/A Description: A movement technique that allows the user to move extremely quickly over short distances. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. Therefore what determines the level of skill in a user for Shunpo is best characterized by how fast one can get from A to B in the least amount of steps.
Gaen watched with a bit of surprise as this ‘Jumala’ fellow darted off shouting something or other about showing something off. For a moment or two, Gaen was just flat out confused based on their loosely defined plan. Weren’t they just talking about peppering this thing with kido and assessing the situation? Rushing toward the tower with your sword drawn seemed… counter intuitive to that particular plan. Maybe he had some sort of long range ability built into his shikai, which he seemed very eager to activate. Now, Gaen was a relatively young Shinigami and as such, had a fairly limited understanding of shikai, having only seen one or two in his time with Fourth division. The strange shape of the staff… thingy, didn’t seem that unorthodox honestly, but when he encased the tower in sand, that threw the one arm medic for a loop. I thought that kind of stuff was for bankais…[/i] He thought, looking at just the sheer scale of the sand tomb that had come into form around their towering adversary. Gaen just stood there when Jumala said something about going while he had it trapped, which again conflicted with what the short man knew about their attempted course of action. He didn’t even move when the sand barrier erupted into a torrent of the strange creatures, a veritable army that Gaen was feeling less and less confident about dealing with as a group of four Shinigami. They could just get steam rolled by the wave of monsters, but thankfully, their fearless leader (that’s what Gaen considered Kaori anyway) stepped into action! Her decisive attack also featured a shikai, though sporting a much frostier aesthetic than Jumala’s sandy siege. Her icy assault threw frozen shrapnel through the ranks of the strange creatures, and the effects seemed promising. They got hit, fell down, seemed to feel pain at least which while Gaen wasn’t a big fan of dealing pain, it proved they could be hurt or injured.
Now, however, Gaen had to admit he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do. Should he wade into the thick of things, following Jumala and Kaori to try and back them up, or stay with Kiyu and try to keep him safe while he attacked the tower with his kido. He knew that the two ‘fighters’ were more likely to take a hit at this point, and his healing powers would be best used there to keep them up and running. However, Kiyu was the only person here who could reasonably attack their ‘real’ target, the tower. If he had to stop to deal with whatever got past Jumala and Kaori, then this fight may drag on longer than they could handle.
Mr. Kiyu sir, I’ll try and stop these things from getting to you while you attack the tower. Gaen said with a bit of a tremor in his voice, not looking forward to the prospect of a fight in any capacity. I’ll, uh, I’ll also keep an eye on Ms. Kaori and Mr. Jumala, in case they need medical attention. and with that he jumped down to the ground level to try and deal with the few monsters getting past the duet of fighters nearer to the tower. Gaen looked down at his zanpactou briefly, but kept the blade sheathed, he was probably more of a hindrance with it in hand than without. He opted instead to kick the nearest creature in the head, cartwheeling quickly over to the next closest thing and putting his heel into the side of its knee, hearing the distinct pop of a bone being forced from its tendons. He was glad to know they had at least vaguely humanoid physiology, he could work with that.
Kiyu watched Jumala's preemptive strike, however failed when the the sand erupted with a torrent of creatures flying from the base. Kaori was the first to react releasing her icy tower, hitting the spirits as she began her attack on the creatures. Gaen was a bit more hesitant, as he spoke to Kiyu about giving him the time to attack the tower. Kiyu turned around, smiling at Gaen, letting him know that everything would be okay.
I have complete confidence in you, Gaen-san. Now let's not allow the substitutes take all the fun; let's show them what full fledged shinigami are capable of.
He quickly turned around, as creatures came to attack, with his Hakudo, he would grab an arm, tossing it to the ground with tremendous force, following another jab straight to the top of its head. With his drawn Zanpakuto, he would easily slice through a few more. He turned to Gaen, pushing him back a bit as he would prepare his kido.
Dipolar tension, strike out! Burning streams fall from the maw of the great winged serpent, decimating all with thunderous potential! Hado no hachijuu Hachi; Hiryugekizokushitenraiho!
The energy quickly formed in his right hand as he aimed at the wave of spirits, but more importantly, at the tower. That large stream of bright blue energy fired away, obliterating several spirits along the way as it easily over powered them. Given his status as a Kidoshu member, and the vast knowledge and expertise in Kido, the power of the spell faltered not, its full power brilliance would hopefully do what it was intended to do, and put a massive damage mark on the tower, hopefully given them an edge in destroying the tower.
It was interesting to say the least that Kaori would take charge in this attack, Kiyu didn't mind it at all, she was still human after all. The energy from his hand would slowly dissipate and he would lower his hand, continuing to fend off any other spirits around himself and Gaen awaiting on the result of his beam.

A grin came over Jumala's face as he saw what they did. "Just as expected... Do not worry Kaori, these things are nothing but fake cheap imitations... NOT WORTHY OF STANDING IN HER PRESENCE!" Jumala shouted out the last bit, raising his foot and slamming it behind him as he raised one hand towards them. "THEY THINK THEY CAN CONTROL MY POWERS, MY SAND! PATHETIC!" He roared, the very sand that they attempted to produce was nothing more than more fuel for Jumala. His power was the complete and utter control of all Sand, and them becoming Sand only worked against this tower. "AND NOW THEY FACE THE EMPEROR'S WRATH!"
Using that very same sand, he pulled it in front of them to a massive barricade. At the same time, sand would begin to cover Jumala's entire form in a thick armor-like shield, he would then raise his hands once more "AND NOTHING ESCAPES THE EMPEROR'S WILL! NOTHING!" Jumala roared once more, raising his hands swiftly as all the sand that had once been surrounding the monolithic structure once more surged forth, completely and utterly entombing it once more as he pulled his hands in to tighten it against the structure.
